2016 in Review
(by Cody. You can tell because the pictures are not as good)
This is obviously not everything that happened this year, but just a random collection of photos from my phone to try and tell a story of what we have been up to. As you will see, the Mountains are a Huge part of our lives. We are so lucky to live in such an amazing place. Enjoy...
Escaping the soup in January (Looks like Ancient Lake Bonneville)
Another amazing sunrise run in the hills behind the house!
A highlight was getting a ski touring setup and joining a good friend Keegan on the slopes. Earn your turns!
Am I doing this right?
WDC #3 podium (Erik is stepping up to the top spot (again))
Amazing View on Gunsight Peak
Who doesn't love family hikes?
Lily loves to run and Elsie is not so sure....
One of my favorite views of the Bear River Range (from Deep Canyon near Mendon)
Another Favorite spot (Mendon Peak) - June 11
Selfie from Cherry Peak (9765')
Made it there 5 times in 2016
View from Mt Naomi (9979')
High Point in Bear River Range
A week of exploring the San Juan Mountains in CO
View from Krogers Canteen at 13,100'
I spent way too much time with Erik!
Mark cruising to a great finish at Hardrock 100
(what better place to sit down in the flowers and enjoy the view?)
Brian with his game face on - We would follow him around for the next 20 hours. Not a bad place to hang out huh?
Tushar Mountain Range in Southern Utah is AMAZING! I will be back!
View of Cherry Peak (I love this shot)
Pacing Erik at the Wasatch 100
He was CRUISING!
Beth and I stopped for some photos for the Bear 100. We missed catching Mike here (he was racing). Her shot got published in Ultrarunning Magazine. Mine didn't (of course).
1 Week after the Bear I headed back up onto the course. I love my backyard.
Yep, this also on the course. 'Only' 2 hours by foot from my house.
See earlier shot from Mendon Peak (this one from Oct 5th)
Keegan and Pete during Pete's 50 (Bearback 50) Good times!
3rd at the 2016 Utah 50K Championships (Antelope Island)
Erik and I during our Circumnavigation of Dry Canyon
Last and best of all - The Turkey Trot 5K
PR for Jaxon (29:08)
PR (first every 5K) for Lily (with Beth Pacing) (43:13)
PR for Cody/Elsie in the Stroller chasing Jax (29:10)
What a great family!
You should probably try to get out more.
